Outdoor Newborn Session – Brooklyn Newborn Photographer

I had a busy summer of newborn sessions, but because I also had a great summer with my children, I didn’t take the time to update my website or social media pages. As the warm weather is coming to a close, I wanted to share this outdoor newborn session with this perfect little boy.

I loved this session and this sweet family so much, and I can’t wait until it gets warm again so I can hopefully do more Newborn Sessions outdoors again.

Wall Display Guide

I get this question all the time…

“What size canvas should I buy?”

There are a few factors that go into choosing the size of the artwork that you want to hang on your walls.  The first thing to take into consideration when ordering your art pieces is where are you going to hang them? More often than not, these images are for over the couch or over the master bed. When my clients tell me that they want to hang their artwork over their couch, I advise that the bigger the better, and see the picture below to see why….WallGuide1

When you think of a 16×20 print, you think of a large print. (I used to think so too!). But as you can see in the above image, a 16×20 hung over a couch isn’t that big at all if you are using it for a stand alone image. If you are planning to add an image to either side, the 16×20 works well. If you have your heart set on a wall mural a la Pinterest, smaller pieces work best. If you want one large image and can afford the 30×40 go for it! If not, other sizes can work well too. My best advice is get the largest piece you can afford. You’ve invested in  beautiful portraits, and it’s important to have beautiful artwork to show for it!

In contrast, if you have some space going up your staircase, a 16×20 is usually too large. Multiple images that are 14×11 or even 8×10 work well going up a staircase.

Gift prints are 8×10 or smaller. These images are great to frame on a table or desk.

As you can see, it’s impossible for me to answer what size you should get with no additional information. If you tell me what you are looking for, where you want to place the art piece, and what your budget is, I can help you hang art work on your wall that you will treasure for years to come!

Baby A – New York Newborn Photographer

I loved every second of this precious angel’s session. She was a couple weeks past her due date, but she was absolutely worth the wait! She was such a sweet baby. Check mama’s maternity session in October. ChrvalaLovewmChrvalaCollage1ChrvalaBlog-9ChrvalaCollage2
